Writer’s Block

I’ve heard about it happening to other people but this morning it happened to me.

I sat down to write and…….nothing.

I typed out a few sentences but couldn’t find my flow, nothing sounded right, none of the topics seemed to work for me so I gave up. I don’t have a deadline or a requirement to post everyday but most of the time I like to write and I usually have something to write about but not this morning.

This moment made me question myself and simply because of my mood (anxious and uncertain) I jumped to worst case scenario.  I went into this weird panic mode questioning myself as a blogger.  How long will my writer’s block last?  Have I run out of things to write about? Am I done with my blog?

This afternoon as I look back at those questions I’m thinking “I’m writing about my life so unless I just quit doing everything I think I’ll be able to overcome writer’s block and come up with new things to write about, so my final answer is no, I’m not done.”   Everyone has writer’s block from time to time.

I thought I would have someplace further to go with this topic but I’m finding myself still a bit stumped so I’ll think I’ll start a second post about my walk today, see how that goes, and share some pics.  I feel like perhaps the fog of writer’s block is starting to lift but if I don’t post tonight I’ll try again tomorrow 🙂

Thankfully I was able to clear the block pretty quickly and get back to writing 🙂 Thanks for reading!

Next time you have that moment just write down all those questions you’re having. It’s about your life, isn’t it? So those feelings you have, that’s also part of your life. 😛
