After spending most of the year not writing consistently one of my goals for the new year is to get back to blogging, and Meet and Greets are great for putting yourself out there as well as finding some great new bloggers. Happy New Year! 🙂

I missed two days in a row. Writing everyday can be a challenge especially if you’re not used to it but I’m back in the game.
I’ve admittedly been glued to my couch for the last day and a half with the exception of a brief trip to the store. The downtime was good but I’m supposed to be going out to dinner tonight with friends so I’m breaking my lazy/hermit/slothlike streak to be social for a little bit.
I woke up this morning and felt instant joy when I realized I didn’t have to go to work tomorrow 😀 Tomorrow my plans are go to the gym, finish up chores, watch the Walking Dead. I started watching from the beginning and I’m just as hooked as I was when I first started watching. It’s so good! I thought I would hate the gore but the characters are so good I’m able to overlook it and just enjoy the story lines.
That’s really all I’ve got for today, looking forward to putting together my meal plans for the week, and getting into the gym 3 days this week. I’m finding having people at work in a similar state of mind is really, really helping me stay on track. A few of my coworkers go to my same gym, another guy is my Fitbit competition, and many people in the office are open to exploring healthier food options. It’s definitely shifting into a healthier environment.

I never thought I would be one of those bloggers who abandon their blogs for days on end, promising to write but never fulfilling that promise.
I was gone all weekend, spent Monday driving home then by the time I got home and tried to write I was falling asleep at my desk. Last night was trivia night then tonight…worked a little late, had to go to the store, and now it’s after 6:00. Dinner hasn’t been prepared, apartment is a mess again, laundry is hanging out in the dryer, and I’m tired…..plus I’m feeling a little down tonight.
I will be bringing back the meal plan next week because I need to sit down, plan it, and make a good grocery list. My plan is to go grocery shopping this weekend and also hopefully check out some couches because my loaner couch is getting ready to go bye-bye.
I stopped at this great fruit stand on the way home and picked up asparagus, peaches, and a couple pears. Tonight’s dinner is chicken, asparagus, with some fettuccine pasta. It feels like the first “real” meal I’ve had since I’ve been home.
I’m hoping to do some writing this weekend then try to set up a schedule for writing because I love my little blog and don’t want it to die, even writing tonight reminds me how much I miss it.
